DESCRIPTION

Fujian Wuyi Rou Gui Tea is a premium oolong tea known for its rich, complex flavor and unique aroma. Grown in the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian Province, this tea combines the traditional rock essence of Wuyi teas with a distinctive cinnamon-like spice, which is where it gets its name" Rou Gui" (meaning cinnamon in Chinese),

The leaves are carefully roasted to bring out a robust, slightly sweet flavor profile with hints of caramel, fruit, and a touch of spiciness. The tea has a smooth, lingering aftertaste and is often praised for its aromatic qualities.

Wuyi Rou Gui Tea is celebrated for its health benefits, including aiding digestion, boosting metabolism, and providing a calming effect. It's suitable for both casual drinkers and tea connoisseurs looking for a unique and memorable oolong tea experience.

BREWING

  • Put about 7 grams of tea leaves for a small teapot (150-200ml)
  • Pour hot water around 90-95 ℃ over the leaves to rinse them quickly. Steep for about 20-30 seconds at the first infusion.
  • Increase the steeping time by about 5-10 seconds for each infusion.
  • 8 infusions or more.

BREWING CHOICE

Wuyi Rou Gui tea is traditionally enjoyed without additives to fully appreciate its complex flavors and aromas, adding sugar or milk is a matter of personal preference.

  • Adding Sugar: Adding sugar can enhance the tea's natural sweetness and may complement the spicy, cinnamon-like notes.
  • Adding Milk: Adding milk can create a creamy texture and soften the tea's natural flavors. However, it may mask some of the delicate nuances of Wuyi Rou Gui.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Try brewing a small amount with sugar or milk to see if you enjoy the combination. To avoid overpowering the tea's unique flavor profile with too much sugar or milk.

STORAGE

Keep the tea away from direct sunlight, store the tea in a cool, dry place.
