INTRODUCTION
Zhangping Charcoal Roasted Narcissus Tea is a type of oolong tea that is produced in Zhangping City, located in Fujian Province, China. It is named after the local variety of narcissus tea tree used to make this tea. The tea leaves are carefully processed through a charcoal roasting technique, which imparts a unique flavor and aroma to the tea.
Zhangping Charcoal Roasted Narcissus Tea is grown in high-altitude mountainous areas, typically at elevations above 800 meters. The tea leaves are hand-picked and then undergo several rounds of charcoal roasting to enhance their flavor. The roasting process gives the tea a rich smoky aroma and a smooth, mellow taste.
FEATURES
The roasted process infuses the delicate Narcissus Tea with a deep aroma of charcoal. Its tea soup is bright golden in color and has a ripe fruity flavor and a lingering aftertaste.
In 2022, the traditional tea processing techniques of Narcissus Tea was added to UNESCO list of world intangible cultural heritage.
